In 44 games for the Mavs this season, Doncic is averaging 28.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8.7 assists. He’s shooting 46.5 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Doncic has taken the NBA world by storm, similar to how LeBron James did when he was a youngster with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reigning Rookie of the Year said last season he was surprised how well he played during his rookie campaign with the Mavs, and now he is an MVP candidate and the new face of the Mavs franchise in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era.
