The Michigan Wolverines are a mild surprise in the 2022 March Madness. Not a few thought that Michigan shouldn't have gotten into the Big Dance, but the selection committee obviously didn't agree to that and welcomed Juwan Howard's team to the NCAA Tournament by giving it an at-large berth on Selection Sunday. Well, it looks like the selection committee has the right to feel vindicated because Hunter Dickinson and the Wolverines are still standing, even out-surviving Big Ten. In fact, they are the only team from the league still in contention for the national title.

Sounds like the best time for Dickinson to troll Michigan's rivals, right?

Michigan is headed to the Sweet Sixteen round after a pair of upset victories. The Wolverines defeated the Colorado State Rams in the first round and then victimized the Tennessee Volunteers in the second round. In both games, Dickinson was the Wolverines' best player. He scored 21 points in the Rams game and then torched the Vols for 27 points.

Up next for the Wolverines, who made the Final Four in 2021, is another tough assignment, as they will be squaring off against Jay Wright’s Villanova Wildcats this Thursday. With the momentum Michigan has generated in the tournament, it can be expected that the Wolverines will be putting up a big fight versus the Big East squad that is among the favorites to win it all.
