The Miami Hurricanes made a splash hire after bringing in Josh Gattis to fulfill their offensive coordinator position. It was a surprising move at first, as Gattis has done a phenomenal job for the Michigan Wolverines. However, on his way out of the door, the offensive coordinator reveals his true feelings about the Wolverines.

According to Tom VanHaaren, Josh Gattis sent a text message to some of the Michigan players. It's unclear exactly what he's upset about, but the timeline in which Gattis is referencing matches up with Jim Harbaugh's head coaching interviews in the NFL.

This isn't a great look for the Wolverines. After retaining Jim Harbaugh, the school was likely hopeful that Josh Gattis would continue being the offensive coordinator. Instead, he leaves to coach the Hurricanes, leaving Michigan searching for a new offensive leader.

Gattis doesn't feel wanted in Michigan. Maybe he tried to get the head coaching job in case Harbaugh left and the Wolverines didn't show interest. This is speculation, but it could be a reason for Josh Gattis to unexpectedly fire shots at his former employer. Either way, he leaves to coach Miami who has turned their program around this year with exciting hires.

We'll see how Gattis does for the Hurricanes. After bringing in Mario Cristobal, Miami is doing their best to get back into title contention. It's been a while since we've seen this program be relevant in football and the future is bright. This is a fantastic job for Josh Gattis and he should be able to gain head coaching interest from other teams in the future.
