Their story has been beyond magical in many regards, as Mike Fisher has been there while his wife, Carrie Underwood, achieved much success with her music. On the other hand, Underwood was there with Fisher as he was doing his best to bring the Nashville Predators to the Stanley Cup title that he sorely missed in his career. While his dream of lifting the trophy will never happen, Fisher can definitely be happy with his life. Underwood and Fisher have a healthy marriage and they have two sons together. Carrie Underwood was born on March 10th, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Interestingly enough, she has been showing off her musical talent from the start of her life. As a child, she performed at her local church and in some local talent shows. During high school, one local admirer of her talents actually arranged for Underwood to go to Nashville and audition for a record company. As that company changed ownership, her invitation was pulled back but, in her own words, Underwood was not ready. At that point in time, the singer felt decided to give up on singing.

In college, Underwood was one of the best students at Northeastern State University. She graduated with the highest honors in mass communications and journalism, performed at some college events, and was very active in other regards. She was a cheerleader, played baseball and basketball, and participated in a sorority. With all of these things on her plate, it seemed like the career of a singer was not in her future. However, one audition in 2004 was about to change her life completely.

In 2004, Underwood went to St Louis to audition for American Idol and she passed it with flying colors. As the season of the iconic show went week by week, Underwood's status as a huge favorite proved to be true, as she won the competition without much trouble. That kickstarted a career that now spans nine records published, seven tours, one of which is happening right now, and numerous other media appearances. During one of her shows in Canada, the singing star met her future husband, Mike Fisher, and a love story was born right away.

Despite only meeting each other in 2008, the couple was already engaged in 2009. They got engaged despite the huge distance between the two, as Fisher was living in Canada, and the music star was living in Nashville. They survived that and in 2010, in front of 250 guests, the couple exchanged their vows and got married in the Ritz Carlton Lodge in Georgia. The wedding was great, but there was still the issue of the pair actually finding a place to live together. Fortunately, fate always finds a way, so the couple saw their luck change just a year after their wedding.

In a deal for two picks, the Senators dealt Mike Fisher, but the location where they dealt him was the interesting bit – Nashville Predators. Now, both of them could call the same city their home. An interesting story circulating around that time was that a local radio station in Ottawa proclaimed that they would never play Carrie Underwood songs, due to the trade. There was a whole situation around that and it ended up with a lot of negative coverage of the radio station, which did apologize afterward. That could not stop the young couple from creating their own family.

Despite three miscarriages that happened between Mike and Carrie, the pair stayed strong and now have two sons, one born in 2015 and the other in 2019.
