Scott Coker has been going out recently and giving updates on various Bellator fighters and what they plan on doing. The latest fighter, Fedor Emelianenko only has one fight left in his career.

Bellator has big plans to do the fight in Russia. The last visit was a huge success and Fedor Emelianenko topped it off with a huge knockout in the first round.

Fedor Emelianenko is hoping for a Bellator heavyweight title fight. Currently, the champion Ryan Bader is set to face Valentina Moldavsky in a heavyweight unification bout at Bellator 273 on Jan. 29.

“That’s what Fedor asked me,” Coker told MMA Junkie. “He’s like, ‘If Ryan beats Moldavsky, I want to fight Ryan Bader.’ That’s what he said. I said, ‘Well, let’s talk about it and I’ll give you some other possibilities in the beginning of January, then let’s see how the fight unwinds and we’ll make a business decision, Fedor. How about that?’ And he said, ‘OK.’ And that was it.”

The first fight with Ryan Bader was not a positive one for the Russian. It was the final for the Bellator heavyweight tournament and Bader finished Fedor Emelianenko in the first round by knockout. It was a bitter end to the tournament for the Russian.

Now, Fedor Emelianenko has turned things around in Bellator and is expected to be the next person up for a title shot. Things will be tricky for him should his teammate, Valentina Moldavsky become the unified Bellator heavyweight champion at the end of January.
