The Golden State Warriors' acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins has put the NBA and its players on tilt, as the rich just get richer, further stretching the disparity between some of the elite teams in the league.

The Lakers, who are fresh off acquiring LeBron James on a four-year, $154 million deal, have aimed at the likes of Damian Lillard as a potential trade target, but the Portland Trail Blazers point guard has seemingly no interest in that, no matter how others in the West align.

Lillard was asked for his input on the recent acquisition made by the Warriors, and the Oakland native did not hesitate to say his peace.

“What do you think about the NBA and the super team(s) like the Dubs? Do you like it? Good for the NBA?,” a fan tweeted to Lillard. “I’m hearing people begin to say they don’t like it. Would love your take as a first class competitor and one of the best in the league.”

“People can do what they want,” tweeted Lillard, responding to the fan. “Its not about loyalty because this is business… it’s just not my style.”

Lillard has said in multiple occasions that he'd rather go down trying his best with his current team than join forces for the sake of a championship, a respectable position, but one that could be taken out of his control if the Blazers choose to shuffle the deck.
