All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Al Horford are gone, but Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum has high expectations for himself and the team next season.
Tatum says he's going to make the All-Star team and the Celtics are going to the NBA Finals in 2019-20.

The Celtics replaced Irving with Kemba Walker and Horford with Enes Kanter. Boston is going to need Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward to take their games to another level next season if it wants to make it to the Finals.

With Irving and Horford gone, Tatum's usage rate is going to rise next year. He averaged 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this past season while shooting 45.0 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from beyond the arc and 85.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Celtics reportedly had no interest in trading Tatum or Brown this summer. The Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are considered the two best teams in the Eastern Conference now that Kawhi Leonard is out West on the Los Angeles Clippers. No one is really giving the Celtics a chance to compete with the Sixers or Bucks. Boston, though, loves being the underdog.
It's up to Walker, Tatum, Brown and Hayward to lead the Celtics next season. Let's see if they can do it.
