Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant may be the NBA's current darling. But in a heavyweight clash between two of the NBA's brightest stars, it was Boston Celtics stud Jayson Tatum that came out on top.

Jayson Tatum poured in 37 points, including 21 of them in the fourth quarter that helped keep the Grizzlies at bay from making a comeback for a 120-107 Celtics win.

“The place was electric tonight. I think it was one of those moments, two guys going at it, doing what they can to will their team to victory,” said Tatum after the game.

Boston has been the team of 2022 thus far. It's been an astonishing turnaround from hovering around the .500 mark earlier in the season. Tatum credits it partly to just enjoying the game that they love more.

“Watching us now, we play with a lot more passion and we seem to be having a lot more fun,” the Celtics star continued. “We’ve been having a lot of fun lately.”

Ja Morant was no slouch either, though. The Grizzlies' dark horse MVP candidate piled on 38 points for the visiting side. But the Celtics' supporting cast also came up large with big-time performances from Al Horford (21 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists) and Marcus Smart (18 points, 12 assists).
