The Boston Celtics have been one of the most intriguing teams to watch in the Eastern Conference so far this season. At this point in the year, Boston has compiled a 19-7 record. Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been a big part of the success, along with star point guard Kemba Walker to round out their “big three.”
Tatum is a big fan of the roster that the Celtics have put together. He opened up about Brown and made it clear that he wants to continue playing with his current teammate for “a very long time.”

Needless to say, the Celtics would love to have that happen. They recently locked up Brown to a four-year, $115 million contract in the offseason to keep him around long-term. Tatum has two more years on his contract following this season before heading into restricted free agency.
It would be a major shock if the Celtics let him get anywhere close to free agency. Even if he did become a restricted free agent, Boston would have the right to match any offer sheet that he signed.
Danny Ainge has done an excellent job of adding talent to the roster. Having names like Tatum, Brown, Walker, and even Gordon Hayward on the same team isn't an easy thing to do. Boston has built their franchise the right way and it isn't likely that Brown or Tatum are going to go anywhere anytime soon.
Expect to see Tatum and Brown get their wish of playing alongside each other long-term.
