“I was pissed about that. I’m not gonna lie. I was really pissed about that,” Walker said, via John Karalis of MassLive.com. “I wanted to play. I wanted to keep the streak alive. I can’t lie, I was pissed. But I guess it was gonna happen at some point.”
Walker is averaging 21.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game on the season for the Celtics. He’s shooting 40.0 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Kemba is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday when the Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets. Boston is 12-4 on the season. The Celtics are in a three-way tie for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.
Everyone in Boston is relieved Kemba Walker is back. At the time of the injury up in Denver, it looked more serious.
