The Boston Celtics will reportedly pursue New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis this coming offseason, and latest speculations say they are willing to trade literally everybody from their roster.
The Pelicans will, of course, take advantage of that opportunity by trying to hoard as many assets from the Celtics as possible. Two players they will reportedly want Boston to include in a deal for AD are Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart.

During the trade deadline last month, the Celtics reportedly contacted the Pelicans and convinced them not to trade Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers because they believe they can offer a better deal for the All-Star forward.
New Orleans indeed stood pat, refusing to accept any offers from the Purple and Gold, including a deal that would send Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart to the Big Easy.

The Celtics had no chance of acquiring AD during the trade deadline because of a contract stipulation involving guard Kyrie Irving.
Now, they are the front-runners to land Davis, and it seems that Boston is willing to go all out.
Aside from Tatum and Smart, the Celtics can also offer several draft picks to the Pelicans. New Orleans reportedly asked the Lakers for six draft picks, something that the latter refused.
It is unclear if Boston will be willing to offer a ton of draft picks, as they are also playing smart. They are closely monitoring Irving's situation and should the All-Star leave Boston, they might pull out of the Davis sweepstakes and jumpstart a rebuild with Tatum as the franchise's cornerstone.
