Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker is in the midst of quite the homecoming against the Charlotte Hornets. He was finally able to provide fans at the Spectrum Center with a familiar sight.

Following a slow start to the game, Walker managed to score his first field goal against the Hornets early in the third quarter:

The jitters of returning to where his career had started seemed to have had an effect on Walker following a slow start to the game. Fortunately, he was finally able to get that first basket out of the way against his former team.

Walker had received a warm welcome from the crowd during the opening introductions and it was well-deserved given all that he had done for them throughout his career. While his departure from Charlotte was bittersweet, it is encouraging to see that there are no hard feelings between both sides.

Walker will now be trying to add a few more numbers to the stat sheet as the Celtics look to close out their sixth straight win.
