The Chicago Bulls are suddenly riding a three-game win streak. It’s a minor feat, but not many people thought prior to the season that this Bulls team was capable of accomplishing that, given its composition and some internal turmoil.

All that, however, didn’t stop the Bulls from taking down the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics at home Monday, 108-85. Among the key figures who made it possible for the Bulls to upset Boston was no other than Nikola Mirotic, who played his best game yet since returning to the active lineup. Mirotic scored a game-high of 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 32 minutes of action. He also punched three 3-pointers in the game.

During a postgame interview while still on the court, Mirotic channeled his inner Rickey Henderson and declared that he’s definitely back, per Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic.

Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg obviously agrees to that.

Mirotic missed the Bulls’ first 23 games of the season to recover from facial injuries he sustained during a practice altercation with teammate Bobby Portis — who scored 23 points versus Boston — just before this season kicked off. Their spat seems to be behind the Mirotic and Portis now, however, and the duo will look to continue their sweet chemistry on the floor this Wednesday against the visiting Utah Jazz.

In three games played so far, Mirotic has averaged 16.3 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 54.8 percent from the field.
