There has been a lot of conversation about the NCAA and if that is the best route for players to take as they try to make their NBA dream come true.

A lot of players have come out and said how unfair the NCAA system is and that another system needs to be worked out.

But Jaylen Brown took it a step forward in his recent talk at the summit about education and sports at Harvard University.

He talked about how he doesn't believe a college education is the best path to success for some, not just people in sports.

“You look at some of the most influential people in the world, Some of them didn’t go to college.”

Brown understands that getting a college degree is important to some, but at college they don't exactly teach you how to change this world.

“I don’t think going to college is necessarily the same thing as being able to affect change. As long as you find something that you’re passionate about and something that you love to do, I support that. You know, if you have influence you have influence. If you don’t, you don’t. There’s a lot of misconceptions about college and about, you know, the financial security of going to college and things like that. And in reality, a lot of people end up more in debt than when they went in.”

Going to college is important for some who are hoping to do a specific job, and that need specific training for that job, but for someone that is hoping to do more than just that job, sometimes real life experience is the best thing you can have.
