With less than a minute remaining, Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets nailed a three-pointer to seal a win over the Boston Celtics.

The Hornets won, 117-112. Kemba Walker finished with 43 points, five assists, and four rebounds. He made seven three-pointers out of 13 attempts.
Jeremy Lamb also chipped in 18 points and six rebounds, as well as Willy Hernangomez who finished with 14 points in 16 minutes of play.
Article Continues BelowThis is another scoring outburst from Walker. In their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, he scored a career-high 60 points. Not too long ago, the 28-year-old guard was involved in trade rumors. But with performances like these, Walker is making it hard for the Hornets to deal him away.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Hornets owner Michael Jordan wants to keep Walker and intend to build around him:
“Teams that are inquiring on Kemba Walker over the summer have gotten the sense that the Hornets still wanna build their franchise and make Kemba Walker the face of their franchise. Michael Jordan is full focused, and hellbent, really — to re-sign Kemba Walker and keep him as his franchise player.”

With this news, we can expect Walker to sign a lucrative deal once he turns into an unrestricted free agent in the summer. He's in the final season of a four-year, $48 million deal.
