Kemba Walker put on a show during the Charlotte Hornets season-opener, making the franchise's 30th year anniversary a memorable with an incandescent 41-point performance, which set a franchise record for the highest mark in a season-opener, according to Stat Muse.
The 6-foot-1 point guard was lights out, shooting 15-of-29 from the floor and 7-of-13 from deep, falling a point shy of bringing the game to overtime in a 113-112 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bronx native scored 11 of Charlotte's 20 points in the fourth quarter, but it just wasn't enough to derail a glass-pounding Bucks team that outscored the Hornets by nine in the last period. Kemba Walker is good, for what it is worth.
While starting out with a loss surely isn't anyone's ideal, Walker's scoring prowess should be a sign of what's to come, considering he's on a contract year and looking to get paid, whether it is getting re-signed by the Hornets, or elsewhere in the free agent market.
Kemba Walker is now the NBA's scoring leader through two days, topping Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Nikola Mirotic, who all put out 30-plus-point performances on Wednesday night.
The Hornets will have their first chance to pulling back to .500 by taking on the Orlando Magic on Friday, the first of four road games of a challenging start to the season.
