Against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, Detroit Pistons guard Derrick Rose might have committed the worst inbound pass of all time, worthy of induction to the Shaqtin'-A-Fool Hall of Fame.

Rose made the error in the first few minutes of the fourth quarter of a close game. Was it good defense by the Lakers? Or did the former MVP simply commit an unnecessary gaffe?

Luckily for Rose, the Pistons bounced back big time from the blunder. They outscored the Lakers, 25-14 in the final period to complete the upset victory, 107-92.

The 32-year-old Rose, who's involved in trade rumors, had a pretty decent game with 14 points, three assists, and two steals in 20 minutes off the bench. Blake Griffin led all scorers with 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, including 5-of-10 from long range. Three other Pistons scored in double figures, including Wayne Ellington who chipped in 20 markers.

LeBron James, who had a historic start, eventually cooled off and finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists. Without Anthony Davis, who sat out due to a right quad contusion, Kyle Kuzma picked up the slack and dropped 22 points and 10 boards.

His embarrassing error notwithstanding, Derrick Rose helped the Pistons improve to 5-14, hoping their upset win over the defending champions will serve as the much-needed boost to turn things around. The Lakers, meanwhile, dropped two consecutive games for the first time this season.
