The one thing Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis doesn't want to talk about right now is his long-term future in Los Angeles.
Davis can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020 once he declines his 2020-21 player option with the Lakers.
Davis on the prospect of long-term commitment: “When that time comes around next year, you can ask me that question, we can revisit it. Right now I’m focused on this year and how I can help this team and help the organization become a championship team.”

Anthony Davis is going to decline that player option worth $28,751,775. However, it would be a shock to a lot of people in the league if AD doesn't end up re-signing with the Lakers.

At some point, the LakeShow are going to become Davis' team if he wants it. For now, though, AD is focused on winning a championship with LeBron by his side.
Davis, a six-time All-Star, is one of the best basketball players in the world. The Chicago native has career averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 466 games. The Lakers can't wait to see how lethal Davis and James are going to be together in 2019-20. The rest of the league isn't looking forward to it.
The Lakers, Clippers and Utah Jazz are considered the best teams in the Western Conference. Davis and James, though, easily form the best duo in the league.
