Los Angeles Lakers starting point guard Lonzo Ball is still struggling with his shot and scoring, but he's finding other ways to impact the game.

Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons, Lonzo Ball showed why he's such a versatile player. The former No. 2 overall pick blocked Pistons guard Luke Kennard's jump shot on one end, and he finished the play off with a slick bounce pass to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for the easy layup.

That's a pass that Magic Johnson made back in his playing days with the Lakers and one which LeBron James makes on a nightly basis right now. Lonzo Ball's vision is what separates him from a lot of young players in this league, particularly point guards.

Ball is averaging 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game for the Lakers. He's shooting 40.8 percent from the field, 33.5 percent from beyond the arc and 41.3 percent from the free-throw line. Laker Nation wants Ball to be more aggressive on offense sometimes, but they have never had any problems with his passing ability and defensive instincts.

Whenever Ball becomes more comfortable scoring the ball, he's going to be a terrific player for LA and James, especially if the Lakers make the postseason in the rugged Western Conference.
