Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is set to retire after this season, ending an illustrious 16-year career that saw him win three NBA titles and 13 All-Star selections. Now, people are wondering what his post-retirement career will be.
One route Wade can take is to become an NBA coach. However, he told Marc Berman of the New York Post that is's not in his mind at the moment.
“I don’t think so,” Wade said when asked if he envisions himself coaching. “I don’t know what the future holds. It’s not in my immediate plans.”

Wade is focused on helping the Heat make the playoffs. They are in a tight race with the Orlando Magic for the eighth and final postseason spot in the Eastern Conference, and a win against the New York Knicks on Saturday could give Miami the upper hand.
After spending most of his career as a starter, Dwyane Wade has accepted a bench role with the Heat this season. He's currently averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and is undoubtedly the spark plug of Miami's second unit.
There is no doubt that D-Wade has a high basketball IQ, which he could use in the future should he decide to become a coach, but he has plenty of time to decide on his next career move. Right now, he's just enjoying the final stretch of his swan song, which he hopes will end with a last dance in the postseason.
