The NBA All-Star Game took place on Sunday night- and so did the Slam Dunk Contest in a weird formality. Usually, the pre-game festivities are the day before, but this year has been different and the contest took place at halftime with players performing all kinds of dunks.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons walked away with the Slam Dunk Champion title on Sunday in Atlanta.

For those that missed it, here are all the dunks from the showcase during halftime of the All-Star Game.

Dunk Contest Round 1

 

Cassius Stanley from the Indiana Pacers started off the dunk contest with this incredible dunk, which is something. Don't get too excited, because there is more.

 

New York Knicks rookie Obi Toppin followed suit with this dunk, which scored just a little bit higher than Stanley's.

Dunk Contest Round 2

Stanley went a little easier in the second round.

 

Toppin went to another level and brought in some familiar faces with his next dunk, jumping over Julius Randle and his father.

Simons gave a shoutout to Tracy Mcgrady with his dunk in the second round, and well, just watch.

 

 

Dunk Contest Final Round

The final round came down to Simons and Toppin, and it was extremely close as both youngsters made impressive cases as to who the champion should be.

However, Simons put the icing on the cake with his final dunk as three judges ended up voting for him, and two for Toppin in a surprisingly close dunk contest.

 

We didn't get Aaron Gordon or Zach LaVine, although LaVine did make an appearance in the All-Star Game for Team Durant. Either way, the dunk contest always finds a way to be entertaining, even in a year when most people thought it was going to be quite a disappointment.
