Ray Allen delivered a very inspiring acceptance speech in the recently-concluded induction ceremony of this year's Hall of Fame class. One of the most endearing moments was when the 43-year-old revealed how Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller inspired him to become not only the basketball player he once was but also the man he is today.

Considered by many as one of the greatest pure shooters the league has ever seen, Allen admitted that in his eyes, Miller is simply the GOAT.

“I know a lot has been said about me as being a great shooter, being one of the best. But what I know is that Reggie Miller is the best person I've seen in my life.”

Allen went on to explain what kind of effect Miller had on him as a youngster, and how appreciative he is of Miller's contributions to the sport.

“Reggie has had a profound effect on my early years in the NBA… I learned so much, and I appreciate your example, the bar you set… Thank you for everything you did for me and this game.”
