The Golden State Warriors will look to close out the Western Conference Finals on Thursday night at the Chase Center, as they lead the series 3-1. But the Warriors depth might be tested a bit as news broke that Golden State forward Otto Porter Jr. has been ruled out for Game 5.

Porter Jr. has been dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of Game 4. He left early in Game 3 vs. the Mavs after playing just seven minutes. Prior to his injury, Porter Jr. had scored in double figures in four of the previous five playoff games. He's also been a solid defender while on the floor.

The Warriors bench has already been shortened during the post season. Gary Payton II, the defensive specialist, broke his elbow in the Western Conference Semifinal series against the Memphis Grizzlies. Dillon Brooks took a massive swipe at his head, sending him careening to the floor.

Also, veteran defender Andre Iguodala has been out for weeks dealing with a neck issue.

In Game 4, the only loss of the series for the Warriors, coach Kerr was forced to shuffle the rotation. Nemanja Bjelica, Damion Lee and Moses Moody each played at least 15 minutes. However, it was those players, along with Jordan Poole that got Golden State back into the game.

The Warriors' starters were a combined -103 in the plus/minus department. That saw Golden State fall behind by 29 in the second half. The bench got them back into the game, eventually cutting the deficit to just eight. Even though they didn't pull out the win, that should give coach Kerr further confidence in going deep into his bench.
