Draymond Green has had a lot of very good teammates during his time with the Golden State Warriors. The likes of Stephen Curry, Shaun Livingston, and Klay Thompson are all unassuming individuals who are selfless and put the team first, making them ideal teammates for just about anyone.
However, Green has a somewhat unexpected inclusion on his list of best ever teammates — Matt Barnes — who spent just 20 games with the Warriors last season after Kevin Durant went down with a knee injury.
Draymond Green just gave Matt Barnes his championship ring. Green said that despite Barnes' reputation, "he's one of the best teammates I've ever had."

While Barnes has a reputation around the league as a bit of a trouble-maker, he does have something about him that appeals to certain types of individuals. He was notoriously close with DeMarcus Cousins during his time with the Sacramento Kings and he apparently made quite an impact on Green during their very short time together as teammates.
It’s hard to know exactly what it is about Barnes that the likes of Cousins and Green find so great about him as a teammate, but he does come across as someone who will stand up for his teammates no matter the situation, which is always nice.
Whatever it is, it does put Barnes in a different, slightly more positive light than the one he’s usually known for.
