The Brooklyn Nets made the biggest splash in free agency when they signed Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to four-year max deals. They have also added double-double machine DeAndre Jordan to bolster their roster, making them one of the best teams in the East on paper. However, veteran sportscaster Colin Cowherd isn't impressed by what Brooklyn has done.

In a recent episode of Fox Sports' The Herd,' Cowherd said that the Nets have become interesting because of their massive signings, but they are not great because Durant and Irving have several issues that come with them.

“Don’t confuse interesting with great,” he said. “I think Brooklyn will be interesting. I never think Kyrie, Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie and DeAndre Jordan will be great. This is an organization that nobody’s ever paid attention to. So they have a new outfit and a parrot on their shoulder and a cool hat and they’ll walk into the party now because the Knicks whiffed, and they’re going to be fascinating. But they’re never going to be great.

“… Interesting? Absolutely. Better than last year? Oh yes. … Brooklyn is built to get attention. Their two stars, Kyrie and Kevin Durant, both regularly spar with the media. They’re going to get attention and I think they’re going to like it because nobody has ever paid attention to them.”

Cowherd has a point. As good as KD and Kyrie are, they are also two of the most polarizing players in the league, and they're coming off disappointing seasons.

Irving's fallout with the Boston Celtics is well-documented. Aside from his injuries, his inability to work with younger players have made him difficult to coach. Instead of guiding the Celtics' young core last season, he constantly whined about their inability to play championship-level basketball.

Boston wanted to bring him back, but it was obvious that Kyrie was done with the Celtics. Durant has his own story after his Game 5 NBA Finals injury with the Golden State Warriors.

Now, both players will bring those pieces of baggage to the Nets, and as early as now, fans are already expecting KD and Kyrie to clash in the future.

It's up to the management on how they will handle things in Brooklyn.
