Ahead of the 2022 ESPYs awards show, sports fans took a trip down memory lane, revisiting some of the past moments from the event. Who could forget Peyton Manning's infamous roast of now-Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant during the 2017 ESPYs, during which he poked fun at Durant for joining the Golden State Warriors?

Well, it seems KD is still harboring some bad blood over the incident and responded to a fan on Twitter who asked him why he was so salty about the jokes.

Five years later, KD still doesn't think Manning's jokes were any good, explaining that “if it was funny I would've laughed… it's a simple concept.”

It was certainly a sensitive topic at the time, to say the least, evidenced by the nervous laughs Manning received from the audience, as well as the obviously uncomfortable reactions from Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, who were said to be beefing at the time.

While it's said that time heals all wounds, the Nets superstar has had half a decade to sit on Manning's comments, but even that much time hasn't changed his opinion. In his eyes, Manning's ESPYs roast was nothing short of a dud, using an overplayed joke to get some cheap laughs.

Kevin Durant has never seemed the type to quickly forgive and forget, and that was evidenced once again on Wednesday with his response to the fan on Twitter. If Manning made those same jokes today, we're sure Durant would be giving him the exact same death stare from the audience, having absolutely none of it.
