The Brooklyn Nets have been quite a busy team these past few days and they continue to keep those phone lines active with the signing of point guard Shabazz Napier, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Free-agent guard Shabazz Napier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources told ESPN. The deal includes a team option on the second year, league sources said.

Napier is coming off his best season as a pro, playing in 74 games for the Portland Trail Blazers and averaging 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.1 steals. The former 24th overall pick out of the University of Connecticut played splendid spot minutes when All-Star Damian Lillard was sidelined with an injury. In nine games as a starter, Napier logged in 16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals.

His arrival shores up Brooklyn's point guard rotation with D'Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie likely ahead of Napier in the Nets' pecking order. More importantly, the second year of his pact gives the Nets a great deal of flexibility, being rumored as potential suitors of Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler, who are both widely believed as interested in teaming up as soon as they're able to hit free agency.

Brooklyn is fresh on the heels of a couple of trades, shipping out Jeremy Lin and Isaiah Whitehead while taking in Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur, on separate deals.
