The Cleveland Browns are only carrying two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster, and while a lot of teams go by that method nowadays, you certainly need to have a contingency plan in place in case disaster strikes, and both of your quarterbacks get hurt.
So, what is the Browns' emergency strategy if neither Baker Mayfield nor Garrett Gilbert can go?
“It would probably be me,” Kitchens said jokingly, according to Jeff Risdon of Browns Wire.
But then Kitchens got serious, saying that Cleveland does, in fact, have a plan, one that it does not really want to reveal:

Odell (Beckham Jr.) was a quarterback before. (KhaDarel) Hodge was a quarterback before. We have several receivers. We can always go three running backs and do the wishbone. There are several options we can do. We do have an emergency plan, though. I am not going to give you all of my secrets.”
Imagine Landry or Beckham lining up under center?
Just the thought of that makes you wonder whether or not teams are making a good decision by going away from carrying three quarterbacks. It's understandable in the sense that you want to make room for another player, but it's also risky.
For example, the New York Jets had to dig down to their third-string quarterback after backup signal-caller Trevor Siemian got hurt against the Browns (ironically enough) in Week 2.
Cleveland is 1-2 and will take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
