During his time with the New Orleans Saints, tight end Jimmy Graham was considered to be the best player in the NFL at his position. An argument could be made that it wasn't even close, so when the Seattle Seahawks acquired him in a trade, it was thought to be a game changer for a team that was already considered to be elite.

Fast forward a few years later, Graham isn't even in the conversation for the league's best tight end with Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots now arguably having that distinction. The 30-year-old hasn't made much of an impact in Seattle leading to a lot of speculation about whether he'd be moved once again.

With the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday, head coach Pete Carroll has fielded questions about the speculation surrounding his veteran tight end. Carroll, however, isn't having it as he claims the team isn't trading Graham, via NFL.com's Michael Silver.

Whether Carroll and company are genuinely not ready to part ways with Graham remains to be seen. The Seahawks are currently in a battle with the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC West division title as they try to keep up with Sean McVay's squad.

Seattle is 4-2 on the season having won three straight games. The Rams are 5-2 with two consecutive victories. It will come down to the wire with these two teams, and the temptation to trade Graham might increase as the NFL trade deadline approaches as it may help address issues on the roster.
