Now that WandaVision Episode 5 is in the books, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are losing their gosh slam minds over the show's ending reveal.
It should go without saying, but to play it safe, spoilers will be below the following subheading. If you didn't watch the latest episode yet, and don't want this ruined for you, please exit out of this post. If you continue, don't claim you weren't warned.
WandaVision Episode 5
Our boy is… back?! Holy Pietro and/or Quicksilver, Batman.
Wait… I just mucked up two totally different comic book franchises. I'll fire myself now.
In what's becoming a theme as WandaVision airs each new episode, the world she created is starting to crumble around her. Vision is realizing stuff is off, all those fancy agents on the outside are attempting to break ‘The Hex” and all that jazz, and even she is starting to break a bit.
Basically, in WandaVision Episode 5 it makes sense that something “out of her control” happens, even if it's the return of her brother Pietro (who is now played by Evan Peters since he did the Quicksilver jam in the X-Men franchise). It's worth noting, depending on timelines, Evan Peters playing the character instead of Aaron Perry Taylor-Johnson (who originally played the character in The Avengers franchise), might need some explanation. If we know anything about the MCU, they will likely have something up their Marvel Cinematic Universe sleeve.

Ug, there's also the entire Mephisto dilly. But we'll unpack all of that when WandaVision gets to it. To be honest, I'm still unpacking how this all fits myself.
Fans have, obviously, reacted to this reveal with a rather crazy amount of frenzy.

We can go on and on, but the general sentiment is that most are thrilled with Evan Peters rejoining the MCU. Whether that's ultimately as Mephisto or Quicksilver or in a two-off series arch is unknown. All that we do know, however, is that WandaVision Episode 5 was all that and a bag of chips. Eat that, American Horror Story!
