Following the Jimmy Butler trade to the Minnesota Timberwolves, much of the attention has shifted to Paul George, who is another star consistently involved in trade rumors the past couple of weeks. He has been long been linked to a move to the Boston Celtics, but nothing has materialized yet.

However, that may change soon, as reports have surfaced that the C’s and Indiana Pacers are currently engaged in serious talks for a possible deal.

But, they are still far from finalizing a deal:

The Pacers' asking price is believed to be the biggest hurdle that both teams need to overcome to strike a deal. After George informed his current team that he intends to become a free agent next year and prefers to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana has been trying to move him in order to still get something in return for his services.

It remains to be seen if a deal will come to fruition, as both teams have not reached common ground yet. However, stranger things have happened in the league in the past, and it won't be surprising if they pull it off either during the draft or in the next few days.
