New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon didn't hold back his thoughts on their rather disappointing 30-point loss to the Buffalo Bills in their Wild Card matchup.

The Patriots were considered to be dark horse contenders for the Super Bowl. While they have a rookie quarterback in Mac Jones leading the way, they still boast one of the top coaches in the league in Bill Belichick who knows everything there is to winning.

Unfortunately, it was total chaos for the Patriots right from the start. They allowed the Bills to score touchdowns in their first seven possessions of the game, and it just went downward spiral from there before they succumbed 47-17. It's New England's second-largest defeat in the Bill Belichick era, and Judon kept it simple why they lost.

“From start to finish, we were getting handled,” Judon said, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.

Matthew Judon didn't make any excuses for the loss. He knows very well they simply fell short and failed to show what they can do on the field. However, he did admit that their performance in the closing stages of the regular season–during which they lost three of their final four games–was telling that they were not locked in heading to the postseason.

“It's just hard when you lose a handful of games coming down the stretch after that success we had… We gotta stay focused. Not saying we were overlooking things… You gotta lock in even more when you’re on top,” Judon added, via Phil Perry of NBC Sports.

The Patriots are back to the drawing board after their latest failure. If there is any one positive, though, Mac Jones can certainly use the experience to take his game to the next level and fuel himself more.
