New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Josh Hart doesn't see the NBA starting back up again anytime soon.

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season following Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test.

Hart, whose Pelicans were in the 10th spot in the Western Conference standings and fighting for the eighth seed prior to play being suspended, isn't getting his hopes up about a return to basketball:

“I’m not very optimistic about the season starting any time in the next two, three, four months,” Josh Hart said, via Marc Stein of The New York Times.

“It’s just too hard. Unless they were somehow able to build a huge hotel and an arena and put a bubble over it in some random place somewhere, that’s my only guess how to actually finish the season in the next several months. You really do have to create a bubble.”

There has been talk about resuming the season in Las Vegas because of the centralized hotels and gyms.

However, with the way the coronavirus has been spreading, odds aren't looking too good right now.

Before the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season, Hart was averaging 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his first season for the Pelicans. The 25-year-old, who began his pro career with the Los Angeles Lakers, was shooting 41.6 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 74.7 percent from the charity stripe for the Pelicans prior to play being suspended.
