New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson may have been shut down for the rest of the Summer League, but he was seen taking some shots during the team's warm-ups ahead of its game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Zion Williamson wasn't doing serious shooting drills. In fact, he was just having a little bit of fun. Here's a video of him hitting a halfcourt shot.

And here's Zion hitting a 3-pointer, while seated on the bench.

Williamson suffered a knee injury in the Pelicans' Summer League opener against the New York Knicks last week and has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament. While it was announced that it wasn't that serious, New Orleans is still being cautious about its prized rookie, especially since he's expected to carry the franchise as it begins its rebuild.

Selected first in this year's draft, Zion is one of the most discussed athletes in the United States, and has been for almost an entire year. His lone NCAA season as a member of the Duke University Blue Devils drew massive crowds; people were eager to see what the hype was all about. The same thing is expected to happen with the Pelicans. Even though they are a small-market team, the prospect of having a potential generational talent like Williamson on the roster is enough to make them extremely relevant next season.

Williamson is already being compared to LeBron James this early in his career. If he lives up to the expectations, the Pelicans will become contenders in the near future.
