Resident Evil Re:Verse is back – but only with a new PEGI Rating for a Stadia version that we're sure nobody would have otherwise noticed.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is still being worked on, apparently. Having disappeared for quite some time, the game suddenly resurfaced when a new PEGI rating was applied to its Google Stadia version. Gematsu reports that the game's Stadia version suddenly got applied, a full year after its console and PC counterparts were rated.

Re:Verse is an asymmetric online multiplayer game where players either take control of one of Resident Evil's iconic heroes or one of its iconic villains, with the objective of beating the other team for each round. It's like Dead by Daylight but with less inspired gameplay – which makes this game redundant because all your favorite Resident Evil heroes and heroines are already in Dead by Daylight, anyway.

Resident Evil Re:Verse was supposed to come out last year. However, the game didn't meet its deadline and was shelved. Capcom would later announce that the game would be delayed to 2022. That happened July last year, and we've never heard about the game since then. In fact, we kind of forgot that this game existed. With Capcom busily working on the Resident Evil Village DLC and Resident Evil 4 Remake, we're surprised that they still have the manpower and the headspace to work on another Resident Evil game. That game being Re:Verse is even the more surprising.

As for those who are anticipating this game, then I guess this piece of news is a boon. Meanwhile, the rest of us would like Capcom to focus on their single-player Resident Evil games instead, please.
