Houston Rockets superstar guard James Harden admits he watched Russell Westbrook from afar even after he left the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder traded Harden to the Rockets in 2012. Harden and Westbrook are very close friends, and The Beard enjoys watching Russ play:

Russell Westbrook is one of the most explosive players in NBA history. James Harden is a basketball fan, so it makes sense he kept up with Westbrook's career even after he was traded by the Thunder. Friends support friends in the NBA.

The Rockets now have two of the most explosive scorers in the game in one backcourt. Harden has led the league in scoring the past two seasons, while Westbrook has averaged a triple-double three seasons in a row. It's going to take time for the two MVPs to co-exist with one another since they are both used to having the ball in their hands all the time.

However, since Westbrook and Harden are essentially brothers off the court, the trust and respect factor is already there, something which was clearly missing between Harden and Chris Paul.

Many believe the Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz are the five title contenders from the Western Conference. The 2019-20 season is going to be epic, that's for sure.
