Atlanta Hawks center Dewayne Dedmon wanted his elbow to say hello to Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul's face. But the former wasn't going to get away with the hit as the referees called a technical foul afterward.

Paul has earned a reputation for being a feisty player despite his diminutive size. This personality has gotten Paul under the skin of countless opponents throughout the years. While Paul is no stranger to taking hits, Dedmon's elbow to his face surely put a dent on his temperament as the Rockets court general was visibly frustrated at the play.

The Rockets won the contest against the Hawks, 119-110, with Paul doing damage on several areas. He finished the night with 20 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one steal. He received ample support from James Harden (28 points, five rebounds, four assists) and Eric Gordon (16 points, two rebounds, three assists, two steals).

Dedmon had himself a solid outing with nine points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. The Hawks were paced by Trae Young who scored 36 points and dished out eight assists. John Collins contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds for Atlanta's cause.

The Rockets are now 35-25, putting them two games behind the fourth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers. Meanwhile, the Hawks fall to 20-41 which is the fifth-worst record in the NBA.
