Shadow Warrior 3 gameplay, combat system

As an FPS, Shadow Warrior 3 seamlessly blends fast-paced gameplay with razor-sharp melee combat mechanics amid a dynamic combat environment. It features hazardous structures and devices that can be activated, making each battle more unique and strategic, mixing magic and technology of the ancient samurai. Players gradually unlock a huge arsenal of weaponry that they can master, while Lo Wang can still wield his trusty katana for close combat. Compared with its predecessor Shadow Warrior 2, the new game has a more linear progression system, but adds a touch of dynamism with the movement mechanics that players can take advantage of.

You will get to enjoy a free-running, highly nimble movement system as they mix thrilling gunfights and precise katana strikes to take down the demonic vokai—inspired by Japanese folklore. Players will get to unleash fancy footwork with air dashes, double jumps, running up walls, and even a new grappling hook mechanic so you can scale up vertical surfaces and platforms. By executing finishing moves at close-range, you can claim a piece of the enemy and use those new powers to annihilate the rest of the horde with unstoppable magic.

Despite the more streamlined leveling system, Shadow Warrior 3 will provide more backstory for Lo Wang and the Japanese and Chinese cultures that the game derived its setting and plot from, as well as ensure that players can focus on enjoying relentless action-packed combat throughout.
