If Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt can't say it, Ben Roethlisberger will: give Watt half the sack he deserves!

Roethlisberger made the request right after Watt's postgame media availability, hilariously telling the media members to “start the petition” for that.

For those not in the know, TJ Watt tied Michael Strahan's NFL single-season sack record (22.5) against the Baltimore Ravens. He fell half a sack short for the record, though the Steelers star certainly had a couple of opportunities to break the record only to be denied.

Watt got his only sack of the game right before the first half ended, when he brought down Tyler Huntley near the goal line after beating tight end Eric Tomlinson and David Sharpe. Prior to that, he seemed to have sacked Huntley and forced a fumble, but it was officially listed as a forced fumble.

The more controversial one, however, was his sack on Huntley with the help of Cam Heyward. His partner in crime got called for unnecessary roughness, denying Watt the half sack that could have given him the record.

It would have been the icing on the cake for what has been a Defensive Player of the Year-worthy campaign for the Steelers standout. However, it seems it wasn't meant to be. Still, tying the record is a pretty good accomplishment in an up-and-down season for Pittsburgh.

Maybe anyone can start that petition as a retirement gift for Ben Roethlisberger?
