Steven Adams and his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates, Nick Collison and Andre Roberson, had a rare opportunity while being in New Zealand. The Prime Minister, John Key, welcomed the players alongside some OKC staff members to his office. Adams and others from OKC are there conducting basketball camps for Kiwi youngsters in Auckland, Tauranga and Wellington to promote the sport.

In pictures posted by John Key himself on his Twitter account, we can see him holding a Steven Adams' signed shirt and even coming really close to as what they call locally “doing the hongi.” A nice picture was also taken with Adams sitting in the Prime Minister chair wearing camo-style clothing and a cap in a relaxing stance.

Overall, it seemed like a nice experience for all. Steven Adams serves as a great role model for young New Zealand aspiring athletes. And mutual appreciation was obvious during the meeting. After all, Adam represents his country in the biggest basketball league of the world.
