Phoenix Suns swingman Kelly Oubre is not very popular among Boston Celtics fans.

The dislike for Oubre in Beantown stems from the Celtics' thrilling seven-game playoff series with the Washington Wizards back in 2017 when he got into a skirmish with then-Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk.

Much time has passed since then.

Olynyk is in Miami, Boston's roster is entirely different now than it was then as a whole, the Wizards are on the brink of destruction, and Oubre is now with the Suns.

But, Celtics fans don't forget.

During Boston's matchup with the Suns on Wednesday night, the TD Garden faithful let Kenny Oubre hear it when he got to the free-throw line. So, Oubre responded in one of the only ways possible: by, um, blowing a kiss.

Kelly Oubre was traded to the Suns earlier this week in a deal that sent Trevor Ariza to Washington. Wednesday night's matchup against the Celtics represented Oubre's first game as a Sun.

Going into the game, Oubre was averaging 12.9 points and 4.4 rebounds over 26 minutes per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, 31.1 percent from three-point range, and 80 percent from the free-throw line.

The 23-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Kansas, was originally selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft, but he was immediately traded to the Wizards.

He played in 63 games during his rookie campaign, registering 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds a night.

Kelly Oubre enjoyed a breakout year of sorts with Washington last season, posting 11.8 points, 4.5 boards, and one steal a night, making 40.3 percent of his shots and 34.1 percent of his triples.
