Nick Kyrgios was preparing to face off with 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon semifinal.
Until he wasn't.
Nadal was shockingly forced to withdraw from the tourney with an abdominal injury, presenting Kyrgios with a walkover win to the final. However, the Australian tennis star was anything but pleased about it. Just listen to what Kyrgios went through after hearing about Nadal's withdrawal, per ESPN.

He added: “I was just restless. So many thoughts in my head about a Wimbledon final. That's all I was thinking about. I was thinking just [about] playing, obviously imagining myself winning, imagining myself losing. Everything. … I feel like I'm just a reckless ball of energy right now. I just want to go out on the practice court now and hit some tennis balls and just talk. I don't know. I want it to come already. Yeah, I want the final to come already.”
Nick Kyrgios said that he “had a shocking sleep last night”, noting that he rested for an hour due to the excitement, anxiety and nervousness. Of course, Nadal's withdrawal from Wimbledon gave Kyrgios a physical break, but certainly not a mental one.
The unpredictable Aussie tennis star said he “just wants the final to come already.” All the sitting around and waiting isn't doing him any good.
Kyrgios, who will be playing in his first Grand Slam final, will take on six-time Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic in the final.
In the meantime, Nick Kyrgios needs to take a nap.
