What do you get when you mix Diablo and Cyberpunk 2077? The Ascent. That's what. First announced back in May of last year, gamers have been excited to see what indie studio Neon Giant has in store for them.

Neon Giant shocked the gaming industry last year when they announced the game along with an amazing trailer. After striking an awesome deal with Microsoft, they went ahead and put their best foot forward to create this epic RPG.
The game is set in the futuristic dystopian world called Veles. A world controlled by a powerful megacorporation called “The Ascent Group”. Players assume control of a worker enslaved by the company traversing the dangerous open-world and unlocking the mysteries as to why “The Ascent Group” collapsed. This collapse then pitted rival corporations and syndicates with each other, trying to assume control. It'll be up to the player to stop them.
The Ascent features your standard RPG tropes such as leveling up, looting, and fast-traveling. The game includes a great cover system allowing you to take cover from your enemies giving you a more tactical advantage. Of course, there's also full character customization.
The visuals of the game are also simply breathtaking. The experience of living in a dystopian cyberpunk future is literally in the palm of your hands.

The Ascent is set to be released on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One this July 29, 2021.
