How can you not love a rookie who's not afraid to rip out some dance moves on the sidelines? The confidence in dancing is evident and ever so present for Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Aleksej Pokusevski.

Just check out this clip:

Poku looks like any middle-aged man who doesn't know what he's doing on a dance floor at a wedding. He looks like the guy who's about to realize he thought he was in the zone but overstepped his dancing capabilities.

The difference with Poku and those referenced occurrences is that he has an abundance of confidence and he's riding that wave. At least one of his Thunder teammates believes he could use some help:

It's hard to blame Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for this reaction. But there's a belief that if you look confident slinging out dance moves, everyone will just believe you know what the hell you're doing. That's what we have here. Pokusevski displaying an atrocious display of dancing skill but looking confident doing so, thus, having people think he knows what he's doing.

Gilgeous-Alexander bookending the quote with the same phrase makes it appear as though this is a normal thing. This wasn't Pokusevski dipping his toes in uncharted waters; he owns the moment.

The Thunder have provided danceable moments this year. Despite being 19-24, the record has exceeded many expectations for an OKC squad trying to build up a young core. While many expected the Thunder to challenge for the worst record in the league, they have instead racked up a decent number of wins.

Oklahoma City is hoping the 2020 first-round pick in Pokusevski is one of those young pieces who will be in the mix. In 24 games played this season for the Thunder, Poku is averaging 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
