Adam Thielen has evolved into a talented wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings and he's become a prominent member of the community in Minnesota. To help those in need, Thielen is making a generous donation during the coronavirus pandemic.

In an attempt to aid the community, Thielen is donating $100,000 to the COVID-19 relief efforts in Minnesota. Of the $100,000 he donated, $25,000 of it will be going to Second Harvest Heartland to feed students in need. The Vikings wide receiver released an official statement after making the donation.

“Our first concern went to all the students who are on free or reduced lunch programs, and we wanted to make sure they would have enough food to eat,” Thielen said in a statement via ProFootballTalk.

In addition, the other $75,000 that Thielen donated will be given to families and youth that are struggling during these trying times. Also, Thielen's foundation will host a radiothon on iHeartRadio and KFAN to raise money for those in need.

Without a doubt, it's great to see the Vikings star and other athletes step up to help others. Besides Thielen, Zach Ertz and Baker Mayfield have also given money to their local charities to combat the coronavirus.

Since the coronavirus outbreak began, some people have lost their jobs. On the other hand, schools have closed, leaving poverty-stricken children to get their meals elsewhere. While some people are able to withstand the effects of the pandemic, some are unable to get by.

Regardless of your situation, everyone can do their part in helping make these unfortunate times a bit better. At the least, Thielen is making sure that people in Minnesota are taken care of.
