In a working environment that is as unpredictable as the NFL, it's hard to build relationships. Friendships like the one built by Minnesota Vikings wide receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs can easily be uprooted by trade — and that's exactly what happened.

The Vikings confirmed that they're sending Diggs to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2020 first-round pick and three other selections. It was a sensible move from the cold-blooded analytics aspect of the game, but the bond the two wideouts have built since 2015 means that the split is going to be a tough one for both parties.

However, both players understood the nature of the business and wished each other well as they part ways. The NFL took note of the especially sincere messages they had for each other.

Thielen enjoyed life with his “bro” and wished him well:

“A lot of good memories with my bro @stefondiggs! Gonna miss being on the field with you and all the meetings! I have learned a ton from you and you are one of the best in the game! Can't wait for the jersey swap haha,” Thielen wrote on IG.

Diggs had an equally sweet message for the wide receiver, who is four years his senior, and fans can easily notice the sadness in his words:

“You're forever my brother… I will miss the meaningless arguments. I will miss noticing when you get your 1 haircut a month. I will miss watching you flex your arms and claiming to be 215 pounds lol we're family forever… Until next time brother,” Diggs shared.

Adam Thielen only made 10 appearances in the past season, but he still put in a respectable 418 receiving yards and six touchdowns to his name. Stefon Diggs only missed one game and finished with a superb 1130 yards and six touchdowns as well. The Vikings will take a hit in terms of their offensive power, but the extra pick they got could help them make a deep playoff run.
