Well, it looks like Dalvin Cook will do just fine as the Minnesota Vikings' starting back in 2019. Early in the team's Week 3 preseason bout against the Arizona Cardinals, Cook broke off a massive 85-yard touchdown scamper.

That was light work for the former Seminole. The back took the counter run out of I-form up the gut, then followed his excellent blocks down the field. When Cook found his hole, all he had to do was put on his afterburners and take it to the house untouched.

But, let's give credit to that interior offensive line. The Vikings made sure they got Cook and quarterback Kirk Cousins some help in the offseason.

In the draft, the Vikings selected the classes best center in Garrett Bradbury — who compares favorably to Jason Kelce. They also somehow lucked into former Oklahoma Sooner stud Dru Samia in the fourth round. The addition of right guard Josh Kline is another valuable fresh face to a much-improved unit.

Cook should have fun playing behind the Vikings offensive line in 2019. He's a breakout candidate after his solid 2018 that followed an explosive start to his rookie year that ended prematurely with a torn ACL. In 2018, Cook played in 11 games, tallying 615 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the process.

The back will benefit from his offensive line and a new offensive coaching staff. Out goes run-anemic John DeFillipo, and to replace him, zone-running visionary Gary Kubiak and Kevin Stefanski, who showed quality signs as a replacement to DeFillipo in 2018. It's time to start buying stock in Cook.
