The Minnesota Vikings came into Week 2 knowing they were going to have to throw the ball more against the Green Bay Packers. With a 21-10 deficit, Kirk Cousins delivered a perfect pass to Stefon Diggs for a 45-yard touchdown.

Cousins had failed to get the ball to Diggs on his previous four attempts in his direction. Finally, he was able to connect with him on a big play that puts Minnesota within striking distance. Dan Bailey missed the extra-point attempt after the touchdown.

At the beginning of this game, Aaron Rodgers willed the Packers to a 21-0 lead in the first half. The Vikings responded shortly after that with a 75-yard touchdown run by Dalvin Cook.

Before the 45-yard touchdown to Diggs, Cousins was having a less-than-stellar day versus the Packers. Luckily for the veteran quarterback, his defense has been able to hold Green Bay in the second half to zero points.

Last week, the Vikings were able to prevail over the Atlanta Falcons by the score of 28-12. The most impressive aspect of their victory was that Cousins only attempted 10 passes as they won by 16 points.

In those 10 attempts, Kirk Cousins completed eight of them for 98 yards and a touchdown. The lone passing touchdown went to Adam Thielen on a 23-yard reception in the first quarter.

As for Diggs, he has struggled to get on the same page as Cousins in the first two weeks. So far, the talented wideout has just three receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully, Minnesota can have their quarterback connect with Diggs as they attempt to make a comeback.
