Bradley Beal led the Washington Wizards' second half surge to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 128-112, on Saturday. During the postgame interview, Beal revealed that Josh Okogie talking trash to him in the third quarter fueled his inner Michael Jordan as he took it personally.

Via Ryan Homler of NBC Sports:

“It’s his fault,” the Wizards star  said of Okogie.

Beal admitted he welcomes the trash talking since he can dish out it out as well. Nevertheless, he still wonders why his defenders still come at him verbally, knowing that's going to come back to bite them eventually. Okogie and the Timberwolves certainly experienced the wrath of the Wizards guard.

“I don’t know. I don’t know but let them keep doing it. Nothing’s going to change no matter who’s on the other side of that playing against us,” Bradley Beal added. “He got me going talking trash, and I talk with the best of them too. So it was cool with me.”

It's safe to assume that Okogie will think twice about talking smack to Beal again the next time they meet up. Luckily for the defensive wing, he likely won't see the three-time All-Star once again this season, with the Wizards already winning both games of their season series this year.

Beal scored 34 points on the evening, 15 of which came in the third quarter where Washington dropped 44 points on Minnesota. His backcourt partner Russell Westbrook notched a triple-double, tallying 19 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists, while Davis Bertans contributed 19 points and five 3-pointers off the bench.
