Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal suffered a left hamstring strain that kept him out of the end of regulation and the entire overtime period during their 133-132 win over the Indiana Pacers. Beal certainly didn't like the fact that the hamstring injury kept him sidelined down the stretch and in the extra session. Via Fred Katz of The Athletic, he revealed that his parents were in the arena and wanted to put on a show for them.
Bradley Beal: "I had the honor of my parents being at the game tonight. They drove up 3-4 hours. So the last thing I wanna do is waste their time, play like ass. My mom wouldn’t let me live that one down."

Beal certainly did give them a masterful performance during the 39 minutes he played on the floor as he dropped 50 points on 19-of-31 shooting. It was definitely unfortunate that his hamstring prevented him from adding onto his 50-piece. Nevertheless, the Wizards were still able to eek out the win to move past the Pacers in the Eastern Conference standings.
The 27-year old star also admitted he didn't know when exactly he tweaked hamstring. Beal came up hobbling to start the second half after scoring on a layup and immediately went into the locker room. He sucked it up eventually, but unfortunately, with the game as highly-contested as it was, it got to the point where he couldn't stay on the floor any longer.

Katz reported that the Wizards will take a look at Beal's hamstring on Sunday. They are set to face the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

With the regular season winding down, and Washington still entrenched in a battle for a spot in the play-in tournament, the Wizards cannot afford for Beal to miss some time. Hopefully, a little bit of rest should be enough for the 3-time All-Star to recover as Washington prepares for the final stretch of their fight for a postseason berth.
